Day 01 : Chennai

You will be taken to the hotel and relax for some time, then proceed for temple visits of Chennai. First visit Sri Vadapalani Andavar Temple dedicated to Lord Murugan (Subrahmanya) one of the major attractions of Chennai. The temple was built by Annaswami Nayakar, a devotee of Murugan in 1890. Then visit Arulmigu Sri Parthasarathyswamy Temple - an 8th-century Hindu Vaishnavite temple dedicated to the Lord Vishnu, located at Thiruvallikeni. Thereafter return to the hotel for lunch and relax for sometime. Evening, proceed to Kapaleeswarar Temple - one of the most popular Shiva temple built by Pallavas in the 7th century, the marvelous architecture resembles Dravidian style, featuring wood carvings, stone carvings, decorated pillars and Gopuram at the doorway. Then visit Ashtalakshmi Temple - one of the most beautiful temples representing 8 forms of Lakshmi like success, offspring, prosperity, wealth, courage, bravery, food and knowledge. Finally visit to 11th century Marundheeswarar Temple - dedicated to Lord Shiva (healer of all ailments). The Temple is counted as one of the Trinity sea shore temples in Tamil Nadu. Day 02 : Chennai - Kanchipuram

On arrival at Kanchipuram, check on to the hotel and then visit Kamakshi Amman Temple - dedicated to goddess Kamakshi, the ultimate form of Goddess Lalitha Maha Tripurasundari (Parvati), Varadharaja Perumal Temple - dedicated to Lord Vishnu and one of the Divya Desams, the 108 temples of Vishnu visited by Alwars, Kailasanathar Temple - 7th century temple dedicated to Lord Shiva built by Pallava king Rajasimha (Narasimhavarman II), Ekambareswarar Temple - a hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and associated with the Pancha Bhoota (five elements) specifically the element of earth (Prithvi), Kumarakottam Temple - dedicated to Lord Murugan. Day 03 : Kanchipuram - Tiruvannamalai - Chidambaram

On arrival, visit Annamalaiyar Temple (or Arulmigu Annamalaiyar Tirukoil) dedicated to Lord Shiva and worshiped as Arunachalesvara or Annamalaiyar. The temple is one of the largest in India, located at the base of Annamalai Hills and houses four gateway towers known as gopurams. The Shiva Lingam here is associated with the Pancha Bhoota (five elements) specifically the element of Fire (Agni). Goddess Parvati is depicted as Unnamalai Amman. Then drive to Chidambaram - a temple town well known for Thillai Nataraja Temple spread over an area of 40 acres. Day 04 : Chidambaram (Mayiladuthurai, Thirukkadaiyur, Poompuhar Beach, Vaitheeswaran Kovil and Pichavaram)

The icon is a lingam and the presiding deity is called Mayuranathar because the Hindu goddess Parvathi worshipped Shiva here in the form of a mayura. Then proceed to Thirukkadaiyur - famous for Amritaghateswarar - Abirami Temple of Tirukkadaiyur is associated with the legends of Markandeya and Abirami Pattar, which is a replica. The original temple, Thirukkadaiyur Mayanam, now called Thirumeignanam, built in the 11th century, was ravaged by the sea and is in ruins now. People worship and pray at Thirukkadaiyur temple for long life. Then drive to Vaitheeswaran Kovil or Pullirukkuvelur temple located in Mayiladuthurai district. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva is worshipped as Vaidyanathar or Vaitheeswaran meaning the 'God of healing' and it is believed that prayers to Vaitheeswaran can cure diseases. The temple is associated with the planet Mars (Angaraka), one of the nine Navagraha (nine planets) temples. The village is also known for palm leaf astrology called Naadi astrology in Tamil. The holy waters of the Siddhamirtham tank within the temple complex contains nectar, and a holy dip is believed to cure all diseases. Evening, drive to Pichavaram - is among the most exquisite places and consists of a number of islands interspersing a vast expanse of water covered with mangrove forest. The Pichavaram mangrove Forest is one of the largest mangrove forests in India covering about 1100 hectare of area. It is separated from the Bay of Bengal by a sand bar. Return to the hotel at Chidambaram and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 05 : Chidambaram - Chennai
